Sean Barry

Head Coach/Aquatics Director

Sean is entering his 17th year of coaching and 5th as the head coach of the Tiger Sharks. In addition to coaching Sean now serves as the district aquatics director, overseeing all pool related activities. Sean came to Belton from Indiana where he had spent the majority of his coaching career. 


After finishing his own swimming career and a short venture into sports marketing, Sean enrolled in graduate school and returned to the pool deck, assisting the Purdue Women’s Team. After completing his first graduate degree he started coaching and teaching at an area high school and working with a club program. During his time coaching in Indiana Sean had the opportunity to work with some of the most dynamic coaches in the sport, learning all he could to ensure the success of his future athletes This experience gave him the opportunity to work with swimmers of all levels from those just exploring the water for the first time to professional swimmers preparing for Olympic Trials. 


Throughout his career the one thing that has never changes is Sean’s quest for more knowledge about swimming and his desire to help young people chase their dreams. He is a firm believer in the lessons swimming teaches that simply cannot be learned in a classroom. 


Sean is almost always at the pool or in the Shark Tank, but when he is not, he enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and two dogs. You can find him hiking throughout the state or fishing, skiing, or tubing out on the lake. 

Chris Knipp

Head Age Group Coach

Coach Chris has been coaching swimming for the past 10 years, which has included coaching at the age group, senior, and master’s level. Chris began his coaching career in August of 2014 at West Lafayette High School in Indiana, immediately following his high school graduation. For four years, Chris was an assistant coach helping to guide the team to four consecutive conference titles and multiple state appearances. Chris’ age group coaching began in the summer of 2016 with the beginner group for FISH Aquatics. Since then, Chris has had the opportunity to coach each of the age group programs throughout the club as well as working with seniors. Chris also served as the head coach of McCutcheon Swim Club, a summer league program. In 2018, Chris joined the staff of McCutcheon High School was responsible for the junior varsity team, while also assisting with the varsity swimmers. This past year, Chris worked as the Belton High School Head Swim Coach,where both the Girls and Boys team won the District 10-6A Championship.


Chris’ swimming philosophy centers on maintaining a strong focus on proper technique combined with aerobic threshold sets and high intensity race pace training. Chris always emphasizes the importance of team unity, academic excellence, citizenship, and simply enjoying the sport of swimming. He approaches coaching with the desire to instill self-motivation, dedication, goal setting, and independence in every one of his swimmers, hoping that they will in turn motivate one another.

Chris graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s in social studies education and a minor in Music History and Theory in the Spring of 2020. In addition to coaching the Tigers, Chris has been teaching World Geography at Belton High School since 2020. When Chris is not at the pool, he enjoys watching almost every sport and soccer as well as staying active.

Quinn Carrozza

Quinn was a member of the 2015-2019 University of Texas Women's Swimming and Diving team, graduating with a degree in Communication and Leadership from the Moody School of Communication. Quinn's swimming career highlights include: 

  • Two-time All-American
  • Two-time honorable mention All-American
  • Six-time Big 12 champion
  • 2012 and 2016 U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials semifinalist (200m back)
  • Member of 2013-14 USA Swimming National Junior Team (200m freestyle, 400m freestyle)
  • 2017-18, 18-19 CSCAA Scholar All-American 
  • 2017 Academic All-Big 12 (first team)
  • Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll (Fall 2015)

Reece Sullivan

Reece has been Coaching with Tiger Sharks for almost three years now, in that time he has coached every level of the club, from Pre-Team all the way through TAGS Qualifers and our National Team. It has been incredible to watch the team in that span double in size and continue to raise the bar of success. Reece has huge goals for the future of this team and continues to work to build the program.


Reece owns a house in Belton where he lives with two of his sisters and his cat, in his free time Reece likes to watch NFL and NBA and play the Banjo!

Natalie Hazlewood

Coach Natalie swam in Central Texas and swam for Tiger Sharks when the team first started. After finishing her swimming career, she coached in Belton before she went on to pursue her degree from Carson-Newman University in Tennessee. She would complete her Bachelor's in Exercise Science in 2019 and move back to Belton. She briefly coached for the Tiger Sharks before spending a year as the assistant swim coach for Harker Heights High School. Natalie returned to the Tiger Shark family this past short course season! She currently is the Head Coach for Lake Belton High School and the lead coach of Silver group. While holding these roles, she also assists with Novice, Bronze, and Senior. Natalie is very excited to be a part of the future success of the Tiger Shark family.

John Prud'homme

Jack grew up swimming nearby in Round Rock and continued swimming through college at the University of The Incarnate Word in San Antonio. During that time, he also began coaching during the summers in Wells branch for 3 years before staying in San Antonio for a year after graduation teaching swim lessons. Coach Jack joined the staff at Tiger Sharks this past season with plans to continue encouraging kids to just keep swimming and do their best both in and out of the water.

Jaynie Ferguson, Assistant Coach and Swim Lesson Coordinator for the Tiger Sharks of Texas, is a lifelong swimmer with deep roots in the Belton community. A standout athlete for Belton High School and the Tiger Sharks, Jaynie went on to compete at the collegiate level for Henderson State University, where she was a key contributor to the Red Wave swim team. Her years of competitive experience and dedication to the sport fuel her passion for helping young athletes grow in both skill and confidence. As a coach, Jaynie is excited to give back to the program that shaped her, inspiring the next generation of Tiger Sharks to reach their full potential in and out of the pool.
